Sadly, the template they use for SWAT 4 servers is pretty outdated. A lot of the map files don’t line up with those in the Gold Edition, which means you’ll get booted when trying to load those maps. You can sort this out by uploading your own map files, though.

The bigger problem is the lack of mod support. They say they have a mod manager, but there’s only one mod available. Most mods for this game, like Elite Force, are run through .bat or .exe files. Unfortunately, they don’t let you upload those file types via FTP, so if you were looking to host Elite Force or other mods, you’re kinda out of luck.

If you’re just planning to play the vanilla version and don’t mind doing a bit of tinkering to get the maps working, it’s an okay service.

The support team couldn’t get Elite Force installed for me either. But it seems that’s more about their server hardware than the knowledge of the operator I dealt with. They took about 24 hours to respond, but thankfully, they refunded my purchase in just a few minutes.

I managed to host a SWAT 4 server on a Linode using wine with similar performance. I’d suggest going that route instead. At least you’ll have the option to use mods.

They might not be the lowest-priced option I’ve seen, but they sure provide the best peace of mind.

While searching for a SWAT4 hosting option across various countries, I found GamingDeluxe to be my go-to for the European region.

In terms of performance, their server speed is top-notch. Even with the considerable distance from the server to my place, the gaming experience has exceeded my expectations.

When it comes to pricing, it's quite fair.

They also respond well to support tickets, and the staff is generally quite helpful.

One downside is the limited options for server locations, but if you're situated in Europe or the States, that shouldn't be an issue.

Three months ago, I switched my server to GamingDelux from GameServerKings based on some good reviews and their pricing. The server's been mostly fine, but man, the support that comes with the basic plan is SLOW AS MOLASSES! Right now, my server's been down for three hours after a routine update, and I've been sitting here for 2.5 hours waiting for a reply to my URGENT and HIGH PRIORITY ticket. Honestly, I can't recommend GamingDelux at all. If you can swing it, steer clear of Gaminddelux.

I picked up a Red Orchestra server recently, but since it was an older model, I had trouble connecting to it. Jon from Gaming Deluxe was super helpful and dedicated a lot of time to get everything up and running smoothly. It was really nice to work with a company that truly goes above and beyond to resolve issues.

From the moment I began using this company's services, I've consistently received top-notch support that meets my needs quickly and effectively. I can't think of a single downside, and I wholeheartedly suggest it to anyone looking for quality service in this area.

Super friendly, super helpful, and crazy fast to reply! These folks are hands down the best hosting service I've ever encountered! I've got servers with a bunch of other providers, including some VPSs from OVH that I handle myself, and these guys have been the most supportive I've seen so far. I'm really impressed. Their prices are also super low, which is pretty surprising considering their reliability and the absence of lag you usually experience with other providers at that cost. At this rate, I might just end up moving all my other servers to them... :)

As a first-time server renter, I was a bit nervous about getting everything set up and maintained. But let me tell ya, GamingDelux guided me through every tiny detail, and I ended up having a blast on my new Rust server. One night, I even shot them a support ticket at 10:45 PM because I was stuck on something. To my surprise, GamingDelux replied in just 5 minutes, and it turned out I was the one messing things up, haha. I learned a ton from them and would definitely recommend GamingDelux if you want a smooth setup, top-notch support, and hassle-free gaming on a private server.

These folks are amazing. Right from the beginning, they’ve really gone above and beyond to assist me. I switched from another top gaming host due to their poor service; it was a similar setup, but Gaming Deluxe truly knows how to treat their clients. Time after time, they’ve helped me reconfigure and rebuild with the same level of patience and understanding every single time. I’d give them 10 stars if I could. Other gamers like me have also told me how great they are. The price is a bit on the higher side, and it’d be awesome if it were a tad cheaper, but if that’s the cost for such service, I’m all in. Keep up the awesome work, folks.

I've never run into a problem with these folks; they keep you in the loop with loads of emails about your bills and whatnot.

The connection is solid, and they’re always super eager to assist.

The staff here, especially Jon, were pretty unhelpful. I spent ages trying to sort out issues with the server I paid for, haha. He didn’t even point me to where I could find the files I needed to fix things, so I had to look them up myself. Seriously, steer clear of renting a server from this place—it's like dealing with a never-ending zombie apocalypse of problems that I, as a customer, have to tackle solo with just a few vague tips from Jon.

I did get a refund, so I’m updating my review, but it’s still not as easy as they claim on their site. Just a heads up, you’ll have to handle the issues on your own. The one-click installs might work, but if they don’t... well, good luck!

I've been using their service for several years and haven't faced any major issues on the server side. If something does come up, they respond fast, are super professional, and I’m really pleased with what they offer. I intend to stick with them for a good while longer.

Since March, I've been using GD to run an Arma 3 server. Their server prices are pretty competitive, and overall, my experience has been solid. Customer support is usually top-notch, with most tickets getting responses in just a few minutes.

That said, it hasn't been all smooth sailing. There have been some service interruptions, including one incident about a month back where I didn't get a reply for a whole day, even after sending multiple messages. Because of that, the server was offline for over 12 hours.

In terms of performance, it's alright, the pricing is fair, and customer service is generally good most of the time.

I've been using GD's Teamspeak Servers since 2014. They're a breeze to deal with, have fantastic customer support, and are super dependable. I can only recall a couple of times in all those years when I faced any server downtime - and I use the service almost every day. When those hiccups happened, GD was really quick to fix things - even after hours. Their prices are quite fair as well.
